Fostering...

Thank you for considering becoming a cat or dog foster parent for PAWS Rescue. We do not have a shelter.
What does it mean to foster?
It means you are helping us save another life! We cannot rescue cats, kittens, dogs or puppies without having a foster home, first.
As a foster, you will provide the animal a temporary home until the animal is adopted. It in no way obligates you to keep the animal forever. Fostering can be one of the most rewarding things you do. Many times our animals come from abused and neglected homes, the county animal control facility, and from owners who, for whatever reason, can no longer keep their pet. We also have many animals with special needs, and animals who have been abandoned. We are able to give them all another chance because of our fosters and volunteers!
Foster homes are registered with a PAWS Rescue representative. The animals, once ready for adoption, are brought to one of our adoption centers for open adoption to find them forever homes.
PAWS Rescue provides spay/neuter, heartworm test for dogs and puppies, fiv/felv test for cats and kittens, treatment for parasites and fleas, distemper, and rabies shots.
What do I need to do to become a foster parent?
If you'd like to foster for us, you do not need any prior experience. Please download and read our FAQ. Then, download and fill out our foster agreement, and either bring it to us on Saturdays at one of our Petsmart showings in Grand Blanc (12-4 PM), mail it to our post office box, or email it to us:
